SEARCHING FOR GHOSTS

For the first time in 2019, I grabbed my camera and left my house in search of moments to capture. I was in New York when I first heard about the virus, then in Japan when the first confinements took place in Europe. I watched mentalities change, and the world withdraw into itself, alone on the other side of the world. It is this feeling of loneliness, of a space that empties, of a world that slows down or falls asleep - that I found in my photos months later. Photography has taught me to search for emptiness, and view it as a gift, as it is an invitation to a realm of possibilities.
